Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu Trek combines the experience of visiting the holy Gosainkunda Lake and observing the fantastic views of the Himalayas into a single context. During this combo trek, you will pass through the lush and verdant rhododendron and bamboo woods, spotting rare species of animals in their natural habitat like the Red Panda, and see magnificent waterfalls that adorn the terrains like a masterpiece painting by an omnipotent being and get rewarded by the outstanding views of the snow-topped peaks.
The Lake at Gosainkunda is holy to Buddhists and Hindus and is mainly visited annually by pilgrims in August. The Lake also has significance in the religious context to the Hindus as they believe that the Lake was created by Lord Shiva when he struck his trident in the mountain to drink from the mountain's glaciers to quench his thirst after swallowing a poison that was threatening to destroy the world.

KYANJIN RI
Kyanjin Ri is a perfect viewpoint to see the majestic Langtang mountain range. It is at an elevation of 4,328m and quite challenging to reach the top of the hill. Moreover, ascending to the top of the hill is a significant highlight of the trek. However, once you are at the top of the hill, you will get to see the breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Changbu (6,251m), Yubra (6,262m), Naya Kanga (5,844m), Yala peak (5,500m), Tserko Peak (5,749m) and Tsergo Ri (4,948m).

The journey to the spectacular Kyanjin Ri begins in a beautiful village, Kyanjin Gompa. Gompa translates as a monastery, and though the village's name is Kyanjin Gompa, the village itself is not Gompa. There is Gompa, where villagers perform their rituals and celebrate festivals.
